Qualifications and Experience:

• A degree in Medicine with specialization in Anaesthesia and registered with the relevant authorities.
• At least two years' experience in the same position

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Administer anesthetic or sedation during medical procedures Confer with other medical professionals to determine type and method of anesthetic or sedation to render patient insensible to pain.
• Coordinate administration of anesthetics with surgeons during operation.
• Decide when patients have recovered or stabilized enough to be sent to another room or ward or to be sent home following outpatient surgery.
• Examine patient, obtain medical history and use diagnostic tests to determine risk during surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures.
• Monitor patient before, during, and after anesthesia and counteract adverse reactions or complications.
• Record type and amount of anesthesia and patient condition throughout procedure
• Implement regional anesthesia technique if appropriate. Administer induction drugs, maintain and adjust appropriate anesthetic depth, manage additional treatment and deliver continuous anesthesia care and monitoring into and during the postoperative recovery phase.
• Coordinate and direct work of nurses, medical technicians and other health care providers.
• Evaluate life-threatening situations, such as cardiac arrest, and treat with protocols established
• Perform anesthetic functions in intensive care units, pain clinics, and other settings, as appropriate.
• Manage anesthesiological services, coordinating them with other medical activities and formulating plans and procedures
• Schedule and maintain use of surgical suite, including operating, wash-up, waiting rooms and anesthetic and sterilizing equipment. Carry any other duties as may be assigned by chief of medical services

• Post graduate training in laboratory sciences and leadership experience in laboratory services in a hospital setting are an advantage

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To supervise and coordinate the quality of laboratory services at his/her place of work.
• To prepare work plans and budget for the laboratory
• Store laboratory data delivered from the laboratory examinations
• To supervises and train laboratory staff under him/her
• Prepare laboratory reports and submit to relevant authorities
• To prepare laboratory SOPs
• Take care of the laboratory equipments
• To collect samples for investigation of pandemic diseases.
• Give quality laboratory services to patients in compliance with the law, professional ethics, directives and regulations given by the management at the place of work.
• Ensuring adherence to National laws, Guidelines and protocols for laboratory practice in Tanzania.

Job Description:

Qualifications and Experience:    

• Doctor of Medicine with specialization in paediatric/child health and registered with the relevant authorities.
• At least two years' experience in the same position
• A Post graduate degree in public health is an added advantage

Duties and responsibilities:

• Acts as the team lead of the RCH unit and make daily ward rounds to assess patients in the RCH unit
• Responsible for responses to all inpatients and outpatient paediatric patients including referral requests.
• Responsible for establishing and running an efficient neonatal unit
• Instructor of junior doctors and other medical personnel including interns; students and clinical officers on paediatric management Develops and directs paediatric treatment guidelines in coordination with paediatric nursing coordinator/supervisor Prepare reports for government and management of birth, death and disease statistics, or medical status if individuals.
• Ensuring provision of high quality clinical services within the RCH unit and adherence to National laws, Guidelines and protocols for medical practice in Tanzania.
• Ensure provision of an efficient immunisation clinic at the DCMC Ensure 24 hours coverage of clinical services at the RCH unit Represents the RCH department in routine and standard staff meetings. . Prepares monthly/quarterly and biannual reports of the RCH unit Advises the Executive Medical Officer on regular and continual basis of status and concerns of the RCH department
