1.1 SENIOR ICT OFFICER II (PROGRAMMER) – 1 POST (TRANSFER)


1.1.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. To design, code, and debugging software applications based on various deployment platforms (e.g. web, mobile, desktop etc.), operating systems, programming languages, database management systems, ect, software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis, etc;

2. To assist and participate in analysis of user requirements, prototyping, development of new functionalities, maintenance of applications, integration of technological components, testing, deployment.

• To design, code and debugging web and mobile based applications in various software languages;

1. To analyze, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software and reliability analysis.

2. To test Software and quality assurance; vi. To support, maintain and document software functionality.

3. To install and configuration of appropriate application servers based on the application programs to be supported;

• To train and support of software users for effective utilization of deployed systems;

2. Software modelling and simulation;

3. Front end graphical user interface design/programming;

• To perform tuning, improvement, load balancing, usability and automation;

• To integrate software with existing systems;

• To evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation;

. To work closely with analysts, designers and other staff;

• To produce detailed technical specifications and software code documentation; and

• To perform any other duties as may be assigned by his/her superior.


1.1.3 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCES:


Holders of Bachelor Degree in one of the following fields: Computer Science, Information Technology, Information System, Computer Engineering, System Engineering, or equivalent qualifications from recognized institution with at least seven

(7) years working experience in programming activities.

The incumbent is responsible for the design, installation, monitoring, maintenance, and management of the Bank’s databases while ensuring high levels of data availability are attained. PRINCIPLE ACOUNTABILITIES :


*Design and implement bank database systems to achieve performance and availability targets

*Develop SQL queries and associated scripts or processes to facilitate integration between the bank’s Systems, or other critical systems, and other internal or external systems

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:


*Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field

*Minimum four years working experience in supporting banking applications and participating technology projects

*ITIL, OCA, OCP, OCM, MC Database Admin and other relevant professional qualifications in IT field

*Proven technology back-end skills i.e. SQL and PLSQL

*Business processes mapping and modelling

Sonnabend Pediatric AIDS Foundation (SPAF), was established in 2021 in South Africa in honor of Joseph Sonnabend, a pioneer AIDS researcher, aiming at reducing and possibly eradicating HIV infections for children. SPAF has been operating its HIV/AIDS projects in Sub- Saharan Africa, India and Latin America in association with Columbia University of Health Sciences New York, PEPFAR with a mission to create a world where no mother, child or family is devastated by HIV and AIDS.


SPAF has multiple job openings for PMCT (Prevention of Mother to Child HIV Transmission)

Project in Tanzania for 2024, a project that will be carried out in five regions (Dar es Salaam, Mwanza, Iringa, Mbeya and Manyara)


2. Data Collection Officers – 40 POSTS


The Data Collection Officer will be responsible for administering and entering all programme’s related baseline, midterm and end line survey starting from data collection and data entry. Enumerators will work in the field under the guidance and supervision of the Research Officers who will report to the Research Manager.


Responsibilities:


• Conduct research and collect information by assigned methods

• Appropriate document and report results

• Complete research/survey/assessment in specific area

• Review assigned fields and prepare an efficient route

• Travel to designated area and conduct interviews

• Assist participants by reading forms and answering questions.

• Gather and accurately record responses on questionnaires provided by the Program team.

• Ensure that questionnaires have been thoroughly checked and completed.

• Submit completed questionnaires and other equipment used in fieldwork to the research supervisor and will, if required to do so, compile his/her findings in a format required by the program

Duties and Responsibilities:

•Collect, clean, analyze and collate data for measles case-based surveillance, polio surveillance, Hib surveillance, rotavirus surveillance, IDSR and routine immunization coverage in Tanzania.
•Provide feedback to the country and forward to IST/ESA (Inter Country Support Team - Eastern and Southern Africa) and AFRO on a regular basis all data on all immunization programme related activities such as on surveillance, disease outbreak and vaccine coverage.

•Using the health related data collected from the country to produce on regular basis a feedback bulletin
•Provide data management and information technology support to the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and WHO staff.
•Perform other duties as required.

Knowledge/Qualifications:

•Essential:Advanced Diploma in IT with background on Mathematics/Statistics
•Desirable:Good knowledge of data management, computer programming, Epilnfo software and working knowledge and vaccine preventable disease.

Experience:

•At least 2 years work experience, dealing with data management.
•Working in multi-cultural environment.
•Knowledge and experience of working in a health organization.
•Excellent knowledge of English.
•Knowledge of French would be an asset.
