Mzinga Corporation is a Government of Tanzania Institution under the Ministry of Defence & National Service. Vacancies exist at the Corporation's Head Office at Mzinga in Morogoro and applications from suitably qualified and competent persons are invited to fill them as follows:-
Qualifications;
Holder of B.Com (Accounting), Bachelor Degree in Accounting or its equivalent;
Registered with NBAA, as Certified Public 5.2 Accountant in Public Practice OR or a practicing member of any other relevant professional board;
Master Degree in relevant field;
At least eight years of working experience of which four years must have been in a senior position.
Duties
Manages a system of accounts for goods and services to enable accurate and timely reporting of the Corporation;
Reviews from time to time the internal control measures and their effectiveness and suggests improvements based on current" market practices:
Prepares accounting and other financial reports;Ascertains proper and optimal control systems and monitors accurate recording of financial transactions;
Participates in coordination of budget developments;
Reviews and submits the statutory returns; Ensures compliance to accounting standards and regulations;
Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
