Lafarge Tanzania is seeking to recruit a highly motivated Mining Engineer, to be based in Mbeya Plant, in a permanent employment contract. The position reports to the Quarry Manager.

Summary of Roles and Responsibilities

a) Always act in a manner that seeks to enhance the safety culture and performance, and ensures that the vital behaviors are always adhered to.

b) Work safely in all areas, identify potential safety hazards, and collaborate with management to correct hazards.

c) Plan, analyze and control all quarry activities for all materials: limestone, sandstone, clay, pozzolana and iron ore.

d) Conduct mine and exploration surveys to confirm whether activities match the existing mine plan, including mapping and contour surveying.

e) Execute mine design tasks, including quarry updates, drilling and blasting patterns, quarry planning, and mine closure plan (MCP).

f) Perform regular topographical survey in DWG or DXF, 3D format programs and overburden stripping programming.

g) Monitor crushing and blending of raw materials at crushers and reclaiming to ensure compliance with specifications.

h) Reviewed SOPs periodically to ensure policies and procedures remain current and appropriate, or to determine if SOPs are needed.

i) Conduct physical stock counts of all raw materials and provide month-end reports to inform the Production department.

j) Compile internal reports on quarrying activities daily, weekly and monthly for plant operations, as well as external reports to the government’s Mining Office for decision making and legal compliance.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the cement manufacturing and/or mining industry.

Position : Manager

The organization is seeking a dedicated and experienced Manager (management assistant) to take on the responsibility of leading a children's center and school in Tanzania. The position requires not only effective management of daily operations but also the ability to create a supportive and conducive environment for the children and students. The ideal candidate should have a passion for education and welfare.

Roles and Responsibilities

Children's Center Management:

Supervise daily activities at the children´s center.

Ensure a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for the children.

Organize activities and programs to promote the social and emotional development of the children.

Identify deficiencies and plan, implement, and evaluate workflows.

Support the Child Safeguarding Team in policy implementation and conduct regular monitoring.

Conduct regular team meetings.

Personnel Management:

Select, train, and lead orphanage and school staff.

Foster a positive team culture and ensure effective collaboration.

Performance management of the team and team members.

Support and supervise international volunteers.

Financial Management:

Assist in budget planning and monitoring for the orphanage and school.

Accounting responsibilities.

Monthly Reporting to the funding organization.

Communication and Partnerships:

Maintain good relationships with local communities, government authorities, and other relevant stakeholders.

Communicate with the funding organization in Germany.

Participate in regular online update meetings with the German funding organization in English.

Job Description:

 
This position is required to manage the company’s e-commerce marketplace channels with a focus on Shopify. The E-commerce Executive will be part of Outdoor Venture’s E-commerce team. Driving E-commerce sales and marketplace awareness for the brands under Outdoor Venture’s portfolio, which includes internationally known Fashion, Outdoor and Sports brands.

 
Responsibilities:

    -Develop and actively manage stores on the Shopify platform
    -Deep understanding on Shopify’s backend to manage OMS, product listings and store design
    -Drive sales and discover opportunities by leveraging Shopify’s marketing tools such as EDM, CRM and analytics
    -Acquire basic knowledge in managing mainstream marketplaces such as Lazada, Shopee and Zalora
    -Work with third-party e-commerce enablers to ensure tasks are executed on time
    -Ensure the catalogue and price of products online are aligned across channels
    -Work with internal stakeholders for the planning of paid ads including but not limited to FB ads, IG ads and Google Display Network
    -Ensure stocks are updated and reflected accordingly across all channels

Requirements:

    -At least 2 years on developing and managing on the Shopify platform.
    -Keen understanding on the fundamentals of managing mainstream marketplaces such as Lazada, Shopee and Zalora
    -Basic design knowledge on Photoshop, Photopea or Canva is a must
    -Understanding of all aspects of online selling and consumer behaviour
    -Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently
    -Passionate about e-commerce and result oriented
    -Passionate about fashion, outdoor and sports catalogue
