Job Title: Head of Raw Materials for Industrial Projects /Geologist
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Review mineral rights requirements in order to maintain tenement ownership;
• Maintains and reviews geological data updates as well as playa leading role in mobilization of equipment for geological surveys and exploration;
• Synthesizes collected data, computes and finally prepares detailed layouts patterns for detailed drilling programs;
• Collects and prepares mineral samples for submission to credible laboratory test and analyses the results
• Prepares reports and recommendations for submission to Management;
• Responsible for providing a strong linkage upstream with geological survey, mineral exploration, data documentation and safety requirements in line with existing international standards and legislation;
• Ensures optimum development of exploration plans and surveys for the mineral concessions for NDC and Partners including liaising with landowners and cultural groups;
• Explore and secure other strategic mineral rights for development
• Reviews and ensures that all geological studies are completed according to planned schedules with the allocated time and budget;
• Liaises with relevant bodies on specifications, environment issues, safety work practices, hazard management plans.
• Liaises with Public Private Partners on data essential for execution of work by observing the time schedule, maintenance of geological data records and compilation of resource report to international acceptable standards e.g. JORC, SAMREC, NI;
• To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Management/
• Director of Heavy Industry
Qualifications and Experience:
• A holder of Master's Degree in Geology/ Mining Geology or equivalent qualification (a good Bachelor Degree) with proven record of experience in construction industry for
• At least six (6) years and should be registered with the relevant authority.
