Job Description:

Duties and responsibilities

• Inspects and report condition of the designated roads on monthly basis or at more frequent intervals if required.
• Prepare and supervises monthly work
• programme for petty contractors undertaking routine/recurrent, periodic and emergency
• Maintenance works as directed.
• Supervise roads and bridges maintenance works as directed.
• Measures and recommend payment for certified works.
• Certifies worksheet, delivery notes and similar documentation as directed by the Engineers.
• Prepare report as required.
• Carries out in-situ testing and sites samples.
• Undertake all regional laboratory tests.
• Record and reports on all tests results.
• Perform such other related duties as may be assigned by the Regional Manager. .

Education/professional qualifications:

• Holder of Full technician Certificate (FTC - Civil),or
• Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Must have post experience of at least 8 years.
• Must be computer literate.
• Application must not be more than 45 years of age.
• Must be a Tanzanian citizen.
